Abstract:

Dental implants are a current treatment method that is frequently and successfully applied to the untouched brushes today. This method of treatment applied in maxillo-mandibular areas can cause serious complications, especially in patients with anticoagulant drug use. The major of these complications is the major bleeding that threatens life during or after surgery. This type of bleeding after the development of the hematoma in the mouth base and around it can lead to serious problems that go to the full or partial blockage of the airway. After all, patients need an urgent enthusiast or tracheotomy to ensure air traffic safety. In this case report, a 65-year-old male patient who used varpharin sodium due to a heart cover replacement appeared to our clinic for prothetic treatment. Under local anesthesia, after multiple tooth removal, 9 implants were placed on the maxilla and mandibula. The common and diffuse type of hematom, which was seen one day after the surgery, lasted about ten days.  Due to a sudden decrease in the hemoglobin value of the patient, a blood replacement was carried out twice in urgency. Bimanual compression and electrocoter with local hemostatic agents were used for blood control. Four months after healing was completed, the patient's treatment was completed without any problems.
