Bu çalışmanın amacı; sosyal ve duygusal gelişimi ölçmek için kullanılan ölçeklerin incelenmesidir. Sosyal ve duygusal gelişim, gelişimin önemli bir öğesini oluşturmaktadır. Doğru ve etkili sosyal ve duygusal ölçümler gelişimin takibi açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, yöktez veri sisteminde “sosyal ve duygusal” anahtar kelimesiyle ilişkili tezlerde sosyal ve duygusal gelişimi ölçmek için kullanılan ölçekler araştırılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmada erken çocukluk, son çocukluk, ergenlik dönemi ve karma dönemlerde uygulanan toplam 29 ölçek; uygulanan lisansüstü alan, uygulandığı yaş aralığı, yapılış yöntemi ve derecelendirme şekline göre incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda ölçeklerin büyük bir kısmının erken çocukluk döneminde uygulandığı fakat bebeklik dönemine ait ölçeklerin yok denecek kadar az olduğu görülmüştür. Ölçeklerin hazırlanma durumlarına ilişkin elde edilen bulgularda genel olarak ölçek uyarlama çalışmalarının ölçek geliştirme çalışmalarından daha fazla uygulandığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar bağlamında, bebeklik döneminde sosyal ve duygusal gelişimi ölçmek için kullanılan ölçeklerin yetersiz olduğu bununla ilgili çalışmaların arttırılması gerektiği anlaşılmıştır. Ayrıca ölçek geliştirme çalışmalarının ölçek uyarlamaya göre az olduğu bu alandaki eksikliğin giderilmesi gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to study the scales used to measure social and emotional development. Social and emotional development is an important element of development. The correct and effective social and emotional measurements are important for the follow-up of development. This study has studied the scales used to measure social and emotional development in the theses related to the keyword "social and emotional" in the core data system. In the study, a total of 29 scales applied in early childhood, last childhood, adolescence and karma periods were studied according to the applied undergraduate field, the age range applied, the method of making and the way of classification. The study found that the majority of the scales were applied in early childhood but the scales of childhood were too small to disappear. The findings on the preparation conditions of the scales have concluded that, in general, scale adaptation studies are more applied than scale development studies. In the context of the results obtained, it was understood that the scales used to measure social and emotional development in childhood were insufficient and that the studies related to this should be increased. It is also concluded that the scale development work has been reduced to the scale adaptation, and the lack in this area has to be removed.

As a result of the study, it was seen that most of the scales were applied in early childhood, but the scales belonging to the infancy period were almost nonexistent. In the findings obtained regarding the preparation status of the scales, it was concluded that, in general, scale adaptation studies were applied more than scale development studies. In the context of the results obtained, it was understood that the scales used to measure social and emotional development in infancy were insufficient, and studies on this should be increased. In addition, it was concluded that scale development studies are less than scale adaptation and the deficiency in this area should be eliminated.
