Nevrekop, günümüzde Goce Delcev olarak bilinmekte olup, Bulgaristan’ın güneybatısında yer almaktadır. Nevrekop kasabası “Nikopolis ad Mestum” isimli antik yerleşimin mirasçısı olarak ortaya çıkmış, isminin de Nikopolis’ten geldiği ileri sürülmektedir. Osmanlı fetihleriyle birlikte bir Hristiyan köyü olmaktan çıkan Nevrekop, bu dönemden sonra İslâm-Türk yerleşimi olmuş ve bölgedeki önemli bir dinî merkez haline gelmiştir. Osmanlı idaresi altına Gazi Evrenos Bey’in Siroz ve Drama yakınlarındaki önemli kaleleri ele geçirmesi sırasında 776-785 (1374-1383) yılları arasında girmiş olmalıdır. Nevrekop ovası ve biraz yukarısında bulunan Razlog vadisinin ele geçirilmesiyle Osmanlılar Filibe ve Çepino vadisi yoluyla Trakya ovası arasında bağ kurmuş oldular. Osmanlı Devleti döneminde Serez Sancağı’na bağlı bir kaza olan Nevrekop ile ilgili ilk kayıtlara 1445 tarihinde rastlanmaktadır. Tahrir defterleri adı verilen bu kayıtların sonrasında XVI. yüzyıl boyunca da tutulduğu bilinmektedir. Bu dönemden sonra Osmanlı Devleti’nde XVII. yüzyılda tutulmaya başlanan avârız defterleri de tahrir defterleri nispetinde olmasa da tutulduğu yerin nüfusu ile ilgili önemli bilgiler içerir. Bu çalışmada Serez Sancağı’na bağlı olan Nevrekop kazasının mahalle ve köyleri, aynı avârız defterinde yer alan mufassal ve icmal bilgiler esas alınarak incelenecektir. Böylece 1723 tarihinde Nevrekop’un nüfus yapısı hakkında bilgi sahibi olunacaktır. Söz konusu defterin incelenmesiyle kaza merkezinde bulunan mahalleler ve şehre bağlı köyler tespit edilmiş olacaktır. Ayrıca bu yerleşim birimlerinde yaşayan Müslümanlar ve gayrimüslimler arasında nüfus açısından bir oranlama imkânı hâsıl olacaktır. Nevrekop’ta ikamet eden nüfus reaya ve reaya harici nüfus şeklinde ayrıma tabi tutularak değerlendirmeye tabi olacaktır. 1723 tarihli avârız defterinin incelenmesi ve sonucunda yapılan değerlendirmeler ile avârız defterleri incelenerek yapılan Osmanlı demografi çalışmalarına Nevrekop ölçeğinde küçük bir katkı sağlaması amaçlanmaktadır.

The Nevrekop is now known as Goce Delcev and is located in the southwest of Bulgaria. The town of Nevrekop appeared as the heir of the ancient settlement called "Nikopolis ad Mestum" and its name is claimed to come from Nikopolis. Nevrekop, which, along with the Ottoman conquests, became a Christian village, has since become an Islam-Turkish settlement and has become an important religious center in the region. Under the Ottoman administration, Mr. Gazi Evrenos must have entered between the years 776–785 (1374–1383) during the occupation of the important castles near Siroz and Drama. With the capture of the Nevrekop valley and the Razlog valley somewhat above, the Ottomans established a connection between the Trakya valley through the Philippines and the Chapino valley. The first records of Nevrekop, which was an accident related to the Serez Sanctuary during the Ottoman State period, are found in 1445. The Tahrir records were named after the XVI. It is known that it has been kept throughout the century. After this period in the Ottoman state of XVII. The archives that began to be held in the century also contain important information about the population of the place where they were held, although they are not relative to the archives of the archives. In this study, the neighborhoods and villages of the Nevrekop crash, which are linked to the Serez Sanctuary, will be examined on the basis of the mufassal and icmal information contained in the same archive. Thus, in 1723 the population structure of Nevrekop will be informed. With the investigation of the record, the districts and villages connected to the city will be identified in the centre of the accident. There will also be a possibility of comparison between Muslims and non-Muslims living in these settlements. The population residing in Nevrekop will be subject to evaluation by holding the separation under the form of reaya and reaya external population. The aim of the study of the 1723 edition of the edition and the results of the evaluations and the edition of the edition of the edition is to provide a small contribution to the Ottoman demographic studies conducted by the study of the edition.

After this period in the Ottoman Empire XVII. the avarız books, contain important information about the population where they are kept, even if they are not in proportion to the tahrir books. In this study, the neighborhoods and villages of the Nevrekop city, which is connected to Serez Sanjak, will be examined based on the detailed and intangible information contained in the same book. Thus, in 1723 on the population structure of the city of Nevrekop will have information about. By examining the book, the neighborhoods and townspeople in the city center will be identified. In addition, there will be a proportion of population between Muslims and non-Muslims living in these settlements. The population residing in Nevrekop will be subject to evaluation by subjecting it to the rea and the rea outside as a separate population. It is aimed to make a small contribution to the Ottoman demography studies carried out by examining the avarız book dated 1723 and the results of evaluations made with the avarız books and Nevrekop scale.
