Talking about the ideological level in the novel is a talk about the deep structure that the author adopts when creating his novelistic world. This depends mainly on his ideological position on the theme of the novel. If the novelist adopts only one position, then we are faced with the novel of one voice. And if he adopts more than one voice, on the surface, this means his "bias" for a particular voice, and then we are facing a polyphonic narrative. But if the text is a smooth surface for the sounds that struggle over it, and the author does not favor one sound over another, then we are faced with an essential multiplicity of sounds. On the basis of this theoretical section, we will discuss the polyphony of voices in the novels of the Egyptian novelist Gamal Al-Ghitani.
