The solid-fuel beam production sector is one of the sectors where physical difficulties are intense and therefore employees experience disorders of the muscle skeletal system. This study aims to develop healing recommendations for the detection and reduction of physical difficulties faced by workers working on the solid-fuel boil assembly lines of a casting factory. The production process of the enterprise has been studied, the first cell of the assembly workshop, where the physical difficulties are the most, 3 stations for the assembly of the four corners of the fireplace and a total of 36 processes have been identified. Ergonomic risk assessments have been conducted with the REBA and BAUA methods for all transactions at each station. REBA scores; for the first, second and third stations are 2-12 (very high); 2-11 (very high); 2-10 (very high); and BAUA scores are 1-4 (very overload). Risk scores are high; in the first station 8 operations, in the second station 10 operations, 3 operations, and in the third station 18 operations, 8 operations have been improved. As a result of the improvements, the REBA scores were improved by 72% at the first station, 41% at the second station and 40% at the third station, and the risk scores of transactions were reduced to a “acceptable” level. For BAUA, healing rates were achieved by 70 percent, 51 percent and 43 percent, respectively. It has been determined that the material dimension of the recommendations is at a fulfillable level to provide employees with a healthier working environment.
The solid fuel stove manufacturing industry is one of the sectors where physical strains are intense and therefore workers have musculoskeletal disorders. In this study, it was aimed to develop a remediation proposal for the detection and reduction of the physical constraints that a casting factory is exposed to by workers working in solid fuel stove assembly lines. The manufacturing process of the plant was examined. In the first cell of the assembly workshop where the physical constraints are greatest, 3 stations and a total of 36 processes have been defined for the installation of the Four Corner Fireplace Stove. Ergonomic risk assessments have been made with REBA and BAUA methods for all operations in each station. REBA scores; 2-12 (very high) for the first, second and third stations respectively; 2-11 (very high); 2-10 (high); The BAUA scores were 1-4 (very high). For the operations to have high risk scores, improvement studies were carried out in 6 out of 8 operations in the first station, 3 out of 10 operations in the second station and 8 out of 18 operations in the third station. As a result of the developments, in the REBA scores; 72% in the first station, 41% in the second station and 40% in the third station, and the risk scores of the transactions could be reduced to "acceptable" levels. For BAUA, the percentage of improvement was 70%, 51% and 43%, respectively. It has been determined that the economic dimension of the proposals can be fulfilled to provide a healthier work environment for the employees.
