Amaç: Araştırmanın amacı doğum deneyiminin erken postpartum dönemde görülebilecek depresyon riski ile ilişkisini belirlemektir. Örneklem ve Yöntem: Araştırma kesitsel olarak gerçekleştirildi. Örneklemi Sivas Numune Hastanesi Doğum Sonu Servisi ve Kadın Doğum Ameliyat Servisi’nde yatan 220 lohusa kadın oluşturmuştur. Veriler “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Edinburgh Postpartum Depresyon Ölçeği (EPDÖ)”, “Wijma Doğum Beklentisi/Deneyimi Ölçeği B Versiyonu (WDBDÖ)” ile toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Lohusaların yaş ortalaması 27,03±5,50 dır ve %47’sine doğumda epizyotomi uygulanmıştır. Lohusaların, %10,8’i anemik, %32,2’si kendini gebeliğe hazır hissetmeden gebe kalmış ve %27’si gebeliği planlamamıştır.
The aim of the study is to identify the relationship of birth experience with the risk of depression that may be seen in the early postpartum period. Examples and Methods: The research was carried out intermittently. The sample was made by the Sivas Numune Hospital's birth end service and the Women's Birth Surgery Service's 220 lohusa women. The data was collected with the "Personal Information Form", "Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDÖ)", "Wijma Birth Forecast/Experience Scale B Version (WDBDÖ)" and "Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale (EPDÖ)". Results: The average age of the lows is 27,03±5,50 and 47% of the lows have been given epizotomy at birth. 10.8 percent of lohus have anemia, 32.2 percent have become pregnant without feeling ready for pregnancy, and 27 percent have not planned pregnancy. The WDBDÖ-B version and the EPDÖ score average are 103,30±25,84 respectively; 6,23±5,06 respectively. 78.2% of lohus have a WDBD-B score of 85 and above, clinically experiencing birth fear and 87.7% have an EPDD score of 12 and below and have no risk of depression. There is a positive meaningful relationship between the WDBDÖ-B and the EPDÖ score average (r=0,333, p=0,001). A statistically significant difference has been found between some sociodemographic characteristics (educational status, working status, and the sex of the baby) and the ECDD score average (p<0.05). The result: In our study, it has been found that most lohus have clinically experienced birth fear. As the fear of birth increases, the risk of postpartum depression is increased. Therefore, it can be concluded that the severity of birth fear can increase the risk of depression. The nurse should ensure that pregnant women experience a positive birth experience by removing the fear of birth as much as possible.
