Abstract:

Recently, high school students have become more difficult in math lessons. At the beginning of the mathematical process, there are problems with mathematics. There is research on the processes of problem-solving in studies related to special skilled students in literature, but it has not been found that there is a study that compares the process skills of mathematical literature problems of superior skilled students in painting, music and numerical fields according to the type of error. Mathematical literature differs from other studies in terms of seeing in which stage the difference begins in the process of solving problems. It is also believed that this study will also contribute to literature in terms of the discovery of what stage mathematical literature problems pass through according to the process skills and how errors were made according to the painting, music and numerical skills of special skilled students. The study is a quality study and a specific skilled student’s ability is aimed at solving mathematical literary problems according to the processes of solving them. The study was conducted with 4 paintings, 4 music, 6 general talent students according to their painting, music and numerical abilities at the Science Arts Center, where special skilled students studying in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th grade in the central district of the northwest of Turkey. As a data collection tool, the researchers scaned literature and used the "Matematical Reading Test" where the literary problems selected were included. After that, the interviews were conducted individually on the solutions they made with the students who accepted the interview. According to the findings of the study, according to the painting, music and numerical abilities of special skilled students, mathematical literature problems have found differences in mathematical process skills in terms of error types.
