AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada Çocuk Polikliniği’ne başvuran çocuklarda enürezisle ilişkili sosyodemografik faktörlerin değerlendirilmesi amaçlandı. YÖNTEMLER: Enürezisli çocukların (n=131) aileleri ile yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler değerlendirildi. Olgular cinsiyet, başvuru yaşları, ailede enürezis öyküsü, eşlik eden hastalık, uyku derinliği ve tedavi yöntemi ile sosyoekonomik açıdan ailenin gelir düzeyine göre incelendi. BULGULAR: Olguların 86’sı (%65.6) erkek, 45’i (%34.4) kızdı. Başvuru yaşı açısından her iki cins arasında anlamlı bir fark yoktu. Otuz dört (%35.1) olguda ikincil enürezis mevcuttu. Olguların 23’ünün (%11.3) sadece annesinde, 37’sinin (%32.2) sadece babasında, yedisinin (%3.6) her iki ebeveynde, 44’ünün (%22.8) kardeşlerinde ve 67’sinin (%34.7) diğer akrabalarında pozitif enürezis öyküsü saptandı. Başvuru öncesi 22 olguya (%16.7) ilaçla tedavi, beş olguya (%3.8) ise su kısıtlama tedavisi uygulanmıştı. Eşlik eden hastalık açısından değerlendirildiğinde 4 (%3.05) olguda spina bifida, 15’inde (%11.4) konstipasyon, 31’inde (%23.7) geçirilmiş idrar yolu enfeksiyonu öyküsü ve 3’ünde (%2.2) vezikoüreteral reflü saptandı. SONUÇ: Enürezisli çocuklarda eşlik edebilecek organik sorunlar nedeniyle her olgu sistematik biçimde değerlendirilmelidir. Ailelerin enürezisin tedavi edilebilir bir hastalık olduğu konusunda bilgilendirilmesi, tanı alan olguların uygun yöntemlerle erken dönemde tedavi edilmesi önemlidir.
Objective: This study was aimed at assessing the socio-demographic factors associated with enuresis in children applying to the Children's Clinic. Methods: The data obtained from conversations with the families of Enuresis children (n=131) was evaluated. Facts were studied by gender, application age, family history of enuresis, accompanying disease, sleep depth and method of treatment and socio-economically based on the income level of the family. 86 of the cases (65.6%) were men and 45 (34.4%) were angry. There was no significant difference between the two sexes in terms of the age of the application. Thirty-four (35.1%) cases of secondary enuresis occurred. Of the 23 cases (11.3%), only in the mother, 37 (32.2%), only in the father, seven (3.6%), both parents, 44 (22.8%), and 67 (34%). 7) The other relatives had a positive history of enuresis. Before the application, 22 cases (16.7 percent) were treated with medication, and five cases (3.8 percent) were treated with water restriction. When evaluated from the point of view of the associated disease, 4 (3.05%) cases of spina bifida, 15 (11.4%) constipation, 31 (23.7%) history of urinary tract infection and 3 (22.2) vesicoureteral reflux were detected. Result: Due to organic problems that may be accompanied in children with enuresis, every fact should be systematically evaluated. It is important to inform families that enuresis is a cureable disease, that the symptoms diagnosed are treated in the early stages with appropriate methods.
