Abstract:

Corporate sustainability is a concept that can be an alternative to the continuous growth and profit maximization, which is one of the traditional goals of, which is often used in business literature, which can bring a contemporary view of the business goals, which can create differences in the business market and which can allow the classical competition concept to be interpreted from a different perspective. Corporate sustainability, as well as the importance of continuous growth and profit maximization, which is among the core goals of, also value social objectives such as protecting the environment, leaving a viable environment for future generations, social equality, justice and economic development, and strives for the sustainability of these concepts. Corporate sustainability is the whole of the activities that enterprises carry out to adapt their products and services to their stakeholders’ expectations, thus creating economic, environmental and social value. In order to create long-term value in, economic, environmental and social factors are the management of business activities along with the corporate management principles. Corporate sustainability also includes the process of adapting the decision-making mechanisms to the principles of sustainability and the management of the risks that may arise from these issues. The Sustainability Index is a reflection of the concept of corporate sustainability in the financial markets.
