Toplumların modernleşme sürecine entegre olma düzeyleri ile akrabalık ilişkilerinin yoğunluk ve yaygınlık biçimleri arasında negatif bir korelasyonun mevcut olduğu kabul edilmektedir. Oysa, tarih boyunca göçebe-kabilecilik biçiminde yaşayan Kırgızlar, yoğun bir Sovyet modernleşmesine rağmen klan ilişkilerini koruyabilmişlerdir. Hatta klan ilişkileri, bağımsız Kırgızistan'da siyasi ilişkileri etkileyen önemli bir unsur olarak varlığını devam ettirmektedir. Bu çalışma, Kırgızların akrabalık terminolojisini ve akrabalık ilişkilerini Sovyet modernleşmesi bağlamında değerlendirmekte ve modem Kırgızistan'a olan etkilerini ele almaktadır.
It is recognized that there is a negative correlation between the levels of integration of societies into the process of modernization and the intensity and spread forms of relativity relationships. Nevertheless, the Kyrgyz people, who lived in the form of immigration-capulity throughout history, have been able to maintain their clan relations despite the intense Soviet modernization. Even clan relations continue to exist as an important element that affects political relations in the independent Kyrgyzstan. This study evaluates Kyrgyz relativity terminology and relativity relations in the context of Soviet modernization and discusses the impact of the modem on Kyrgyzstan.
