Abstract:

The aim of this research is to reveal the relationship between the unemployment concerns of university graduate students and career adaptation capabilities and career desires. In line with this objective, the university has been evaluated by the processing of the career adaptability skills and career desires of graduate students, unemployment concerns. The study group consisted of 212 university final class students aged between 20 and 28 (22.57, Ss=1.33) . As a data collection tool, the "Socialometric Questions Relating to Unemployment Anxiety" has been applied to determine the level of unemployment concern, the "Career Adaptation Skill" to determine the level of career desire, and the "Career Desire Skill" to determine the level of career desire. The analysis of the data is performed by hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, it has been determined that the underdimensions of career adaptation skills, interest and control negatively impact the unemployment concerns of university graduate students, but the underdimensions of career desire are not a meaningful contributor to unemployment concerns. The findings obtained within the framework of the research have been discussed and presented in the relevant literature framework.

The aim of this study is to reveal the relationships between unemployment anxiety, career calling and career adapt-abilities in university senior students. For this purpose, it was evaluated that career adapt-abilities and career calling of university senior students predicted unemployment concerns. The study group consisted of 212 university senior students aged between 20 and 28 years ( ̅ = 22.57, SD = 1.33). Sociometric Questions on Unemployment Anxiety, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, and Career Calling Scale were used as data collection tool. As a result of hierarchical regression analysis, it was determined that career adapt-abilities, interest and control sub-dimensions negatively predicted unemployment concerns of university senior students, but the sub-dimensions of career aspiration were not a significant predictor of unemployment anxiety. The findings of the study were discussed and recommendations were made within the framework of the related literature.
