Bu çalışmanın amacı, İlköğretim Matematik Öğretmenliği son sınıfta okuyan öğrencilerin okul deneyimi dersi kapsamında staj gördükleri okullardaki matematik öğretmenlerine yönelik görüşlerini incelemektir. Bu çalışma kapsamında nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması benimsenmiştir. Bu çalışmada veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan 61 öğretmen adayına açık uçlu beş tane soru sorulmuş ve bu sorulara verilen cevaplara ilişkin görüşler yazılı olarak alınmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen görüşler Mesleki Bilgi ve Beceri ile Tutum ve Değerler olmak üzere iki tema etrafında toplanmıştır. Bu temalardaki görüşler analiz edildikten sonra alt temalar halinde gruplandırılarak tablo şeklinde sunulmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda öğretmen adayları staj hocalarını daha çok yöntem ve teknik, öğretim teknolojileri, sınıf yönetimi, iletişim, disiplin, hoşgörülü, rol-model, sinirli ve adil olma gibi alt temalarda olumlu veya olumsuz düşüncelerini belirtmişlerdir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğretmen adaylarının birçoğu uygulama öğretmenlerinin genel olarak öğretmenlik mesleği genel yeterliliklerine uyduğunu ve kendileri için rol-model olabileceklerini belirtmişlerdir.
The aim of this study is to examine the views of students who study Primary Mathematics Teaching in the final class on the teachers of mathematics in the schools in which they are internshiping in the course of school experience. This study has been conducted by the research methods of quality. In this study, the data was collected in a semi-configured interview form. The 61 teachers candidates who participated in the study were asked five open end questions and the opinions on the answers to these questions were taken in writing. The opinions obtained in the study were gathered around two topics: Professional Knowledge and Skills and Attitudes and Values. The views on these subjects, after being analyzed, are grouped into subjects and presented in the form of table. As a result of the study, teachers’ candidates have highlighted their teachers’ more positive or negative thoughts on subjects such as methodology, teaching technologies, class management, communication, discipline, tolerance, role-model, nervous and fairness. According to the research results, many teachers candidates have stated that their teachers in general conform to the general qualifications of the teaching profession and could be a role-model for themselves.
The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of primary school mathematics education students about mathematics teachers at schools where they attend internship within the scope of school experience course. In this study, a case study which is one of the qualitative research methods has been adopted. In this study, the data were collected through a semi-structured interview form. Five open-ended questions were asked to 61candidate teachers who participated in the study and their opinions on the answers given to these questions were received in writing. The opinions obtained in the study were gathered around two themes: Professional Knowledge and Skill and Attitude and Values. After analyzing the opinions in these themes, they were grouped into sub-themes and presented as a table. As a result of the study, the candidate teachers expressed their positive or negative thoughts on sub-themes such as methods and techniques, instructional technologies, classroom management, communication, discipline, tolerant, role-model, frustrated and fairness. According to the results of the research, most of the teacher candidates stated that teachers with whom they did internship generally comply with the general competencies of the teaching profession and may be role-models for them.
