Medya toplumsal hafızanın yeniden inşasında son derece önemli bir araçtır. Özellikle televizyon yapımı dizilerin son dönemde artması bu inşanın etkili olmasında ehemmiyet taşımaktadır. Unutma ve hatırlatma sacayaklarıyla tarihi hafızayı istediği biçimde kurguladığı düşünülen medya zamanın ruhuna uygun yapımlarla toplumsal belleği sürekli biçimde inşa edebilmektedir. Türk dizilerinin geçmişi günümüzde yeniden ele alış biçimleri ideolojik bir anlayışın tezahürü olmakla birlikte bu ideolojinin toplum tarafından benimsenmesi gerçekliğin kurgusal yönünün ne derece etkili olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada Türk kolektif hafızasını yeniden canlandırmaya çalışan Mehmetçik Kutlu Zafer Dizisi betimsel analiz yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Betimsel olarak yapılan analizde dizide öncelikli olarak geçmişten günümüze unutma hatırlama söylemleri ile ilgili içerikler ile ilgili bir sınıflandırma yapılmış ve içeriklerin bu noktada işlendiği gözlemlenmiştir. Diğer yandan İslam, inanç ve Türklük üçgeni bir kolektif hafıza bileşeni olarak yapılan vurgularda öne çıkmaktadır. Birliğin, vatanın ve hürriyetin önemi ise dizideki içeriklerden elde edilen bir diğer kolektif hafıza inşası unsurdur. Son olarak devlet hafızası ile yapılan toplumsal uyarılar ile ortaya konulan içerikler verilen mesajları güçlendirmektedir.
Media is an extremely important tool in the reconstruction of social memory. Especially the increase in television production series in the last period has been promising that construction is effective. The media, which is thought to establish the historical memory as it wants with the memories of forgetting and remembrance, can constantly build the social memory with the creations appropriate to the spirit of time. The past of the Turkish series is today a manifestation of an ideological understanding of the forms of re-interpretation, but the adoption of this ideology by society shows how effective the fictional aspect of reality is. In this study, the Mehmetçik Kutlu Zafer series, which tries to revive the Turkish collective memory, has been studied by the visual analysis method. In the visual analysis, the series first made a classification of the contents related to the memories from the past to the present and observed that the contents were processed at this point. On the other hand, Islam, religion and Turkish triangles are highlighted in the emphasis made as a collective memory component. The importance of union, patrioticity and freedom is another element of collective memory building obtained from the contents in the series. Finally, the content revealed by social warnings made by the state memory strengthens the messages given.
