Yazınsallık ölçütlerinden biri olan metinlerarasılık, bir metnin başka metin türleri ile arasındaki ilişki olarak ifade edilebilir. Metinlerarasılık yöntemi ile metnin önceki metinlere dair taşıdığı izleri ve farklı metinler arasındaki bağıntıları tespit etmek mümkündür. Bu çalışmada, XVI. yüzyılda Lâmi’î Çelebi tarafından telif bir eser olarak yazılan Vâmık u Azrâ mesnevisi metinlerarası ilişkiler bağlamında ele alınmakta mesnevide gönderge, anıştırma, gizli alıntı gibi yöntemler çerçevesinde Türk, Arap, İran, Yunan ve Çin kültürlerine ait anlatı unsurlarının işlenişleri irdelenmektedir. Vâmık u Azrâ’da hikâyenin başkahramanı Vâmık başta Süleyman Peygamber olmak üzere İbrahim, Narkissos, Mecnun, Cemşîd gibi tarihî veya kurgusal şahısların çeşitli özellikleri ile vasıflandırılmış, onların hikâyelerine yapılan anıştırmalar ile metinlerarası ilişkiler kurulmuştur. Ayrıca nerre ismiyle ifade edilen pegasus benzeri varlıklar ve ejderhalar da yine çeşitli uluslara ait mitsel öğeler olarak söz konusu eserde yer almaktadır. Metnin derinliğini artıran, okurun hayal ve kavrayış gücüne yönelik kurgulanmış bu anlatım unsurları eseri özgünleştirme, olay örgüsüne katkı sağlama, maceraya heyecan katma gibi pek çok fonksiyona sahiptir.
Intertextuality, one of the literary criteria, can be expressed as the relationship between a text and other text types. With the intertextuality method, the traces the text carries about the previous texts and the relations in different texts are determined. In this study, Lâmi'î Çelebi's mesnevi named Vâmık u Azrâ is discussed in the context of intertextual relations. In the mesnevi Turkish, Arab, Iran, Greek and Chinese narrative elements were examined in the framework of methods such as referent, recitation and secret quotation. The protagonist of the story, Vâmık, was characterized by various characteristics of historical or other fictional figures such as Prophet Solomon, Ibrahim, Narcissus, Mecnun, Cemşid, and intertextual relations were established with the associations made to their stories. In addition, pegasus-like beings and dragons expressed as nerre are also included in the mesnevi as mythical elements belonging to various nations. These narrative elements, which provide the depth of the text and are aimed at the imagination and comprehension of the reader, have many functions such as originalizing the work, contributing to the plot, and adding excitement to the adventure.
