Abstract:

This study aims to reveal the problems encountered in bussed education and solutions according to the opinions of managers and teachers working in transport-centred schools. For this purpose, the study was designed and carried out as a case study model, which is one of the qualitative research designs. The study group of the research consists of a total of 20 participants, six assistant managers and four school managers, ten teachers working in the transportation centre schools in the central districts of Şanlıurfa province in the 2021- 2022 academic year. Participants were determined by random sampling method. In the study, the data were collected from the participants with semi-structured interview forms in a written way. The data obtained as a result of the research were analysed using content analysis in qualitative research methods, and the findings obtained were combined under codes and themes, and direct citations were included when sharing the findings. The names of the participants were hidden in accordance with the ethical rules and each participant was given a code. As a result of the findings, the problems highlighted by the participants were mainly the lack of a cafeteria, the storage conditions of the food, the inadequacy of inspection and sanctions, and the differences in academic achievement among the students. They stated that a cafeteria should be built, inspections and sanctions should be increased, transportation should be removed, on-site training should be provided and the physical structure should be improved.
