Abstract:

Critical thinking in nursing, is skill and ability to use, use of risk getting creativity to make a decision and knowledge as a result, analysis and synthesis that, evaluation, to acquire, information search, to develop thinking, as an individual aware of his own thinking. Critical thinking is particularly important because of its potential impact on patient care in nursing. Therefore, with the rapid changes in health care and the influx of new technology, nurses must be able to use critical thinking to make clinical decisions that provide optimal patient care.Nurses using and develop critical thinking skills and trends the individual, professional development, improving nursing practice and contribute to society in terms of improving the quality of health care. In this article, the definition of critical thinking, its place in nursing, the ways to assess critical thinking and the results of the scientific studies carried out about critical thinking in nursing are discussed.
