Abstract:

The identification of the possibility of adult departure anxiety disorder in university students was made in order to study the relationship between this disorder and the connection and the parent-parent attitude. From 01.04.2018 to 15.06.2018 the sample of the research conducted in the identificative and cutting-edge type was formed by 400 bachelor students identified using the layer sample method. In the study, the data collection tool was used as "Personal Information Form", "Adult Separation Anxiety Survey (YAA)", "Inventory of Relationships in Near Relationships II" and "Mother Father Attitude Measurement (USA)" as well. The data was evaluated using the frequency, average, t test, Anova, Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests in the computer environment. The average age of students participating in the study is 21.31±1. 96 percent, 36.7 percent are women and 63.3 percent are men. 71% of them live separately from their families, 55.8% have anxiety of separation, and they have a medium level of preventive and anxious connection. When studied on the basis of family attitudes, it was found that the students’ families often adopted a democratic attitude. There has been a weak relationship in the positive direction between the total score of YAA and the low-dimensional score of the avoidance and anxiety of YIE-II. Furthermore, there has been a weak relationship between the total score of the YAA and the protective and authority attitude sub-dimensional points of the ABTO in the positive direction, and the democratic attitude sub-dimensional points in the negative direction. The conclusion has been made that separation from the family among university students increases the level of adult separation anxiety, that parents’ attitudes are effective in determining the separation anxiety that students experience and the way of connection in their relationships.
