The subject of this publication is the iconography of the Aphrodite Anadyomene statues, which were widely made at the end of the Hellenistic era of the Greek love goddess Aphrodite and known to have numerous copies in the Roman Empire period, and the two Aphrodite Anadyomene statues in the Niğde Archaeological Museum discussed in this scope. Based on the myth of the goddess' birth, this statue type, its iconography, the process of appearance was evaluated along with the works in the museum, and the development and spread of the Anadyomene was revealed. The main resources used in the study are the translations of ancient poets and writers and the original Hellenistic Period-related Roman Period copies of sculptural works. According to this, the Aphrodite Anadyomene appears to be depicted in three different positions: standing, stumbling and sitting. These three images also carry different iconographic characteristics within themselves. The works in the Niğde Archaeological Museum are among the examples of the standing naked Aphrodite Anadyomene's bronze statues made in the Roman era.
