Abstract:

The society of Jahiliyya consisted of people who completely severed their connection with Allah or made their relationship with Allah problematic, moved away as much as possible from the environment of pure revelation that is not corrupted by shirk and superstition yet, except very few, most of the society did not recognize the existence of hereafter or did not care about such a life, and therefore lived only for this world. These people were so inclined to world, as mentioned in the Quran, they saw the world life is made up of only eating and drinking and benefiting from the blessings. In this respect, they no longer had a relationship with "man" that Allah created to serve him. This situation was not only reflected in the social, political and economic aspects of their lives, but also had influence on the concepts they used. The meanings of the concepts they used were generally based on a materialist and secular basis. The meanings of the concepts were limited to the benefits provided in the world. Islam aims transforming the interest and perspective of man from this world to hereafter, which was not limited to reforming social, political and economic aspects of the Jahiliyya. At the same time, Islam was concerned with this human mentality and the consideration of the human being, which had suffered in terms of giving meaning to the concepts reflecting its perspective on life, and tried to correct it. He gave new ethereal meanings to the used words and concepts that man filled worldly meanings and thus enabled the relevant subject to be approached with a new and lively point of view. In this sense, one of the concepts emphasized in the Quran is the concept of "Commerce". The concept of "Trade", means "shopping", is included in nine parts of the Quran and used for meaning of "spiritual / ethereal shopping" in three of these parts. In addition to this, commercial concepts such as "selling, buying, price, earning" are also mentioned in the Quran regarding the ethereal trade. The Quran mentions a trade agreement between Allah and his servant and deals with this issue in detail and in this context, it refers to subject of the trade, its parties, conditions, benefit and loss. It is obvious that knowing the changes made by the Quran on this concept, the dimension it brings, detailed explanation of the trade and the meaning it gives to human mentality in the relevant issue will contribute to the understanding of Islam's beneficial perspective on events / life. In this context, Allah concentrates on the concept of "trade" in order to widen understanding of the trade which people centered on the world and to place the hereafter at the center of trade and directs people’s concerns to ethereal trade. Allah states that the essential trade is ethereal trade, and actual return and loss will be in question in this ethereal trade. Based on Quran and Sunnah, most beneficial ethereal trade is between Allah and a true believer. According to this trade, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and properties in exchange for being forgiven, being free of hell’s torture and going to heaven on condition that “to have faith in Allah, jihad for Allah with their life and wealth, to recite the Quran and to perform the salaat”. As soon as a Muslim believes, he needs to obey and be aware of that he will be accountable to Allah. If all the requirements are fulfilled, he will reach absolute happiness by having his wishes with no fear and forgiveness of sins. A Muslim who meets requirements receives Allah’s support in every aspect of the world besides the blessings / promises in the hereafter. Therefore, his happiness will not be limited to the hereafter. He will be fully profitable in his trade with Allah, who does not break his word.
