Abstract:

The aim of the study is to analyze the effects of demographic and socio-economic factors of the employees working in the textile sector on the personality traits, organizational revenge intention, organizational climate and contextual performance. The random sampling method was used in the study. The sample of the study is composed of employees who work in textile and garment manufacturing enterprises in İstanbul, Bursa, Kocaeli, Eskişehir and Sakarya. In the light of the information obtained from the literature, the results of the survey were evaluated and statistical procedures were performed by using SPSS package program. The organizational climate, organizational revenge intention, personality traits, and contextual performance variables were coded in accordance with the 5-point Likert scale. The variables of the study are Personality Traits, Organizational Revenge, Organizational Climate and Contextual Performance. Personality characteristics of the individual are shaped by such elements environmental conditions and family structure. The individual with his personality traits will add meaning to the environment in which he lives. Negative meaning of the individual will trigger the formation of negative climate; positive meaning will trigger the formation of positive climate in the organisazation. The employee is faced with increasing production, workload and performance pressure. The fact that the individual cannot manage this pressure psychologically will increase the stress level.
