ruBulgaristan ve Romanya’nın AB’ye girmesinden sonra, Karadeniz bölgesi Avrupa Birliği için çok önemli hale geldi. İlk olarak, Karadeniz Bölgesinde istikrar ve güvenlik AB için önemlidir. Bu bölge organize suçlar ve terörizmin yayılmasını önlemede Avrupa Birliği için bir endişe kaynağıdır. Öte yandan, bu bölge AB için enerji ve ulaşım için önemli bir terminaldir. After Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU, the Black Sea region became very important for the European Union. First of all, stability and security in the Black Sea area is important for the EU. This region is a source of concern for the European Union in preventing the spread of organized crime and terrorism. On the other hand, this region is an important terminal for energy and transport for the EU. The EU is an important economic and trade partner of the Black Sea countries and is promoting regional development throughout the region and making great efforts to promote democratic and economic reforms. In this context, the "Black Sea Synergy" Program was launched in 2007 as an EU initiative and as a result, the EU adopted the "Eastern Partnership" plan to promote close political and economic ties with the countries of the region.
