Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to identify the functional use of the +DA add-on in the poems of Orhan Veli and the role of each function within the word series. Orhan Veli is one of the most important poets of the Republican era. He defended that the poet should speak to the public, not to the high crowd, and his poems used the language of speech to get a flush, smooth Turkish pen. In the study, the +DA attachment will be assessed within the status categories created based on the functions and tasks in the attachment list according to the functional approach by Daşdemir (2015) . In the functional approach, the status is determined by the name not by the additions it has received, but by the tasks it has taken in the phrase. By scanning the work, all the phrases in which the +DA appendix is used have been identified and classified according to the functional use of the appendix in the poems. The study found that the +DA state add-on was used in 7 different functions.
