Abstract:

Abû Bekir er-Râzî, one of the first philosophers in the history of Islamic Philosophy, was born in Rey in 251/865 and died again in the same place in 313/925 Despite a number of different riviates, most of the evidence shows that he is a Turkish-born Sunni philosopher. Razi is an encyclopedic philosopher who has written many works in the fields of philosophy, logic, chemistry, astronomy, mathematics and ethics, primarily medicine. The number of his works is unknown, but it is about 200 in his work called Es-Sîretü’l-Felsefe. But Brockelmann says that 59 of these works have reached today. The philosopher’s studies, especially in the fields of medicine and chemistry, and his works have been discussed in the world of science for many years and have been influential in many ways in the subsequent period.
