Abstract:

The aim of this study was to reveal the population change (1927-2018) belonging to the Republic Period of the Pain Islands located in the Upper Murat-Van Division of the Eastern Anadolu Region. The population of the Pain was in constant change in the period before the Republic and in the period of Republic. The study took advantage of the periodic counting results between the years 1927-2018. The data obtained by the assessment of the calculation results are converted into tables and graphs. Graphics and tables have been used to conduct ideas about the population's flow in the counting periods and periodic evaluations have been made. In this context, the population rate of the Pain was taken to be assessed according to the counting periods of 1927-2018. Although the population continued to rise until 2011, it began to decline after 2011. However, the population of Turkey between the years 1927-2018 has continually increased. As a result, the population in the province of Pain has increased more than 5 times over the past 91 years, from 103.562 people to 539.657 people. The proportion of male population is higher than the proportion of female population. The urban population rate has exceeded the rural population rate since 2010.
