Turkey has extensive floral diversity due to its various climate and different geological zones. Turkey has been housed by many civilizations and its people have possessed a rich treasure of traditional botanical knowledge. Many ethnobotanical studies have been carried out to transfer traditional botanical knowledge to next generations. For this aim, Sadıkoğlu evaluated ethnobotanical studies which were carried out in Turkey from 1928 to 1997. In this review, we have summarized and evaluated the ethnobotanical studies which carried out from 1998 to 2008. It was observation that, the most ethnobotanical studies were made in Central Anatolia while the least were made in region of Southeast Anatolia. The most common uses of plants in ethnobotanical studies were established as remedies and foodstuffs. Kırıkkale and Batman provinces were not found on ethnobotanical studies.
