Kış turizmi, dünyada ve ülkemizde giderek artan düzeyde gelişme gösteren turizm türlerinden birisidir. Kış turizminin geliştirilmesi için kar festivalleri gibi kış turizmi etkinlikleri düzenlenmektedir. Son yıllarda ülkemizde de artış gösteren kar festivalleri gibi etkinlikler, kış turizmi faaliyetlerinin canlandırılmasına, turist sayısının artmasına ve destinasyonların markalaştırılmasına katkı sağlamaktadırlar. Ayrıca kar festivalleri diğer mevsimlere göre turizmde hareketliliğin azaldığı kış döneminde turizm aktivitelerinin geliştirilmesinde ve turizmin bütün yıla yayılmasında oldukça önemli etkileri olan faaliyetler olarak dikkat çekmektedirler. Araştırma sahası olarak seçtiğimiz Doğu Karadeniz’de de son yıllarda kar festivalleri giderek çoğalmaktadır. Yukarıda ifade edilen olumlu katkıları yapması beklenen kar festivallerinin özellikle bölgedeki yaylalarda sadece yaz mevsimine yoğunlaşmış turizm faaliyetlerinin kış döneminde de gerçekleştirilmesine, turizm baskısının daha uzun bir zamana ve sahaya yayılmasının olanaklı hale getirilmesine, önceleri kış mevsiminde terkedilen yaylaların, bu mevsimde de canlılığını sürdürmesine katkı sağlaması beklenmektedir. İşte çalışmamızdaki başlıca amaç, kar festivallerinin Doğu Karadeniz’deki kış turizmine olan etkilerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden örnek olay (durum çalışması) kullanılmıştır. Yaptığımız araştırmalarda Doğu Karadeniz’de sayıları her geçen gün artan kar festivallerinin kış turizminin canlandırılmasına katkılar sağladığı bununla birlikte bazı altyapı, organizasyon, erişim, tanıtım vb. konulardaki yetersizliklerden dolayı mevcut potansiyelin istenilen düzeyde değerlendirilmediği anlaşılmaktadır. Bütün bu eksikliklerin peyderpey giderilmesiyle kar festivallerinin gerçek potansiyelinin ortaya çıkabileceği ve bölgede kış turizminin gelişmesine önemli katkılar yapabileceği kanısındayız.
Winter tourism is one of the types of tourism that is increasingly developing in the world and in our country. Winter tourism events such as snow festivals are organized to improve winter tourism. In recent years, events such as snow festivals that have increased in our country have contributed to the revitalization of winter tourism activities, the increase in the number of tourists and the branding of destinations. In addition, snow festivals are highlighted as activities that have a significant impact on the development of tourism activities in the winter period where tourism mobility is reduced compared to other seasons and the spread of tourism throughout the year. In the East Black Sea, which we have chosen as a research field, the snow festivals have been increasingly multiplied in recent years. The snow festivals are expected to make the positive contributions mentioned above, especially in the region's fountains, to the realization of tourist activities focused only on the summer season in the winter period, to the possibility of the tourist pressure to spread to the field for a longer time and to the contribution of the fountains first abandoned in the winter season, to the continuation of their vitality in this season. This is the main objective of our work is to evaluate the impact of snow festivals on winter tourism in the Eastern Black Sea. In the study, examples of case studies (situation studies) were used. In the research we do in the Eastern Black Sea, the number of increasing snow festivals every day contributes to the revival of winter tourism, but some infrastructure, organization, access, promotion, etc. It is clear that due to the deficiencies in the subjects, the existing potential is not assessed at the desired level. We believe that with the removal of all these shortcomings peyderpey the real potential of snow festivals can be revealed and can make significant contributions to the development of winter tourism in the region.
Winter tourism is one type of tourism that is developing ever-increasingly in the world and in our country. Winter tourism events such as snow festivals are organized for the development of winter tourism. Activities such as snow festivals, which have increased in our country in recent years, contribute to the revitalization of winter tourism activities, increasing the number of tourists and branding the destinations. In addition, snow festivals draw attention as activities that have significant effects on the development of tourism activities in the winter period, when the mobility in tourism decreases compared to other seasons and likewise in the spread of tourism throughout the year. Snow festivals have been increasing in recent years in the Eastern Black Sea region, which we have chosen as a research area. It is expected that the snow festivals, which are expected to make the above-mentioned positive contributions, to contribute to tourism activities which are concentrated only in the summer season to be carried out in the winter season especially in the highlands in the region and for the tourism pressure possible to spread over a longer period of time and field and that for the plateaus that were previously abandoned in the winter season to continue to be alive in this season as well. The main purpose of our study is to evaluate the effects of snow festivals on winter tourism in the Eastern Black Sea Region. Case study (case study) among the qualitative research methods was used in the research. In our researches, it is understood that the increasing number of snow festivals in the Eastern Black Sea Region contribute to the revival of winter tourism, however, due to some deficiencies in some fields such as infrastructure, organization, access, promotion, etc.; the current potential cannot be exploited at the desired level. We believe that by eliminating all these shortcomings, the real potential of snow festivals can be revealed and it can make a significant contribution to the development of winter tourism in the region.
