Aim: In this study, it was aimed to present the menopause-specific quality of life scales systematically, by literature review. Method: In this study, English and Turkish articles were searched in Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar and "Google Akademik" search engines until April 15, 2017. In English, "climacteric", "menopause", "quality of life", "scale", "development", "validation" keywords; in Turkish, "klimakterik", "menopoz", "yaşam kalitesi", "ölçek", "geliştirme", "güvenirlik" keywords are used. One hundred and seven articles were included in this study using a convinent search strategy. Results: When literature is reviewed, it is clearly seen that 16 scales are among the menopause-specific quality of life scales. When Turkish menopause-specific quality of life scales are examined, it is seen that Utian Quality of Life Scale and Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire draw attention. Utian Quality of Life Scale evaluates the quality of life by distinguishing being whole from the menopausal symptoms. Five point likert scale consisting of 23 items has four sub-dimensions. Increasing scores of scales and sub-dimensions show that the quality of life has raised. Menopause-Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire was similarly developed with the aim of questioning the change in the quality of life occurring in time, by measuring menopause-specific differences of women in their life-styles. Likert scale consists of 29 items and four sub-dimensions. Total score of the scale cannot be calculated. The low scores received from the sub-dimensions show that the life quality of women is high. Conclusion: In the literature, there are valid and reliable Turkish menopausal quality of life scales and presented to the use of researchers and health workers.
