In this study, it was aimed to examine the effects of regular exercises on both physical development characteristics and mental well-being of adolescent children. 22 adolescents who regularly participate in sports activities participated in the study as a study group and 22 adolescents who did not participate in any sports activities as a control group. Height, body weight, sit and reach flexibility test, vertical jump test, hand grip strength test, 10m-20m-30m sprint tests and Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale were applied to the volunteers participating in the study. Vertical jump test (p<0,05), hand grip strength test (p<0,05), sit and reach flexibility test (p<0,05), and mental well-being scale levels (p<0,05) were found to be significantly higher in the children who actively participate sports regularly than children who do not actively participate sports. Also, It was observed that the 10m, 20m, 30m sprint test results (p<0,05) were significantly lower in the children who actively participate sports regularly. As a result, it has been determined that adolescents who regularly participate sports have higher scores in terms of both physical characteristics and mental well-being than adolescents who do not regularly participate sports. It is thought that participating in regular exercise practices in the adolescence period, which has an important place in the development of children, will contribute significantly to the physical and mental development of children.
