This study aimed to determine the attention levels of children involved in skiing. 52 children who were licenced skiing athletes in Ağrı Province Directorate of Youth Services and Sport, and 45 children living in Ağrı but who did not do any sports participated in the research on the basis of volunteering. Bourdon’s (1955) Attention Test was given to the participants. The data were analysed on the SPSS 22 programme. Shapiro-Wilks test was applied for normality distribution. The Independent Samples t-test was used in comparisons between the groups while Pearson’s Moments Multiplication Correlations test was used in the correlations between the parameters. Following the analyses performed, it was found that there were significant differences between children involved in skiing and those who were not involved in any sports (P<0.05). Besides, it was also found that there were statistically significant differences between children’s levels of attention in terms of whether or not doing sport, their father’s educational status, the number of their brothers and sisters, and gender (P<0.05). In consequence, it may be stated that children who are involved in skiing sport have better levels of attention than those who are not involved, and also that there are significant correlations between them in terms of whether or not doing sport, their father’s educational status, the number of their brothers and sisters, and gender. Therefore, it can be recommended that children participate in sport activities for the development of their attention levels.
