Özet:

There has been an increase in the demand for animal products with rapid population growth. In Turkey and in many countries to meet this demand, livestock has become a rapidly growing industry. With this rapid development, more waste has emerged in livestock enterprises and some environmental problems have been caused by overcoming the self-cleaning mechanism of the natural environment. It causes environmental pollution when the wastes from animal enterprises are not stored properly. These wastes, which are one of the diffuse sources of pollution, cause their quality to deteriorate and become unusable by polluting underground and surface water resources. In this study, the amount of waste resulting from animal enterprises in Iğdır and its districts and the amount of diffuse pollutant load (TN and TP) generated by these wastes were determined and their effects on environmental pollution were evaluated. In the study, the number of cattle, small ruminant and poultry for the province of Iğdır for 2019 is 159926, 1149668 and 116916, respectively. The TN amount of distributed pollutant loads generated by these animals annually is calculated as 2509.697 tons / year and TP amount is calculated as 203.521 tons / year. In addition, the annual total amount of dry manure produced by these animals for BBH, KBH and KH, respectively; 256111.494 tons, 47350.916 tons and 9885.938 tons. In order to prevent environmental pollution, these wastes should be collected in closed areas in accordance with the standards, and the implementation of processes such as composting, drying and biogas production applied to these wastes will prevent environmental pollution and gain economic value. With controlling and utilizing these wastes with high economic potential, it will also contribute to the national economy by supporting sustainable development.
