Abstract:

Ateş, tarihi süreçte bazen çokça yüceltilip tanrılaştırılmış, etrafında çeşitli inanç ve kültler oluşturulmuş kimi zaman varlık âleminin özü olarak benimsenmiştir. Dolayısıyla ateşe derin anlamlar yüklenmiş, özellikleri çeşitli benzetim ve mecazlara konu olmuştur. Divan şairleri kaynağını hayattan ve insandan alan şiirlerinde ateş unsurunu farklı açılardan ele almış ve zamanla ateşle ilgili mazmunlar oluşturmuşlardır. 17. yüzyılın önemli divan şairlerinden Fasih Ahmed Dede bunlardan biridir. Bu çalışmada, Fasih Ahmed Dede’nin gazellerinde kullanılan ateş sözcüğü, çeşitli kavramlarla olan ilişkisi açısından yedi alt başlık halinde incelenmiştir. Söz konusu inceleme yapılırken divan şiirinde ateşe dair kullanılan klasik mazmunların yanında tasavvufî açıdan görülebilen anlam farklılıklarına da değinilmiştir.
