Bu çalışmanın amacı Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı, Talim Terbiye Kurulu Başkanlığınca 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında ortaokul 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf fen bilimleri dersinde okutulmasına onay verilen yedi fen bilimleri ders kitabında yer alan astronomi konularının analizinin yapılmasıdır. Araştırmada ders kitaplarında yer verilen astronomi konularının sayfa sayılarını, önerilen ders saatlerini, yer alan konularını, alt konularını, görsellerini, bilim insanlarını, ölçme ve değerlendirme araçlarını belirlemeye yöneliktir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda farklı sınıf kademelerinde fen bilimleri ders kitaplarında yer alan astronomi konuları arasında tutarlılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Aynı kademede farklı yayınlara ait ders kitapları arasında ise astronomi konularının içerdiği sayfa sayıları, içerdikleri görsel sayısı, yer verilen bilim insanı sayısı ve ölçme ve değerlendirme araçları açısından herhangi bir uyum bulunamamıştır. Astronomi konularının ders kitaplarında yer veriliş biçimine yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to analyze the astronomy subjects in the seven science textbooks approved by the Ministry of National Education, Board of Education and Discipline to be taught in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade science courses in secondary schools schools in the 2022-2023 academic year. The aim of the research is to determine the astronomy topics included in the textbooks, the number of pages, the recommended course hours for the topics, the topics, sub-topics, visuals, scientists and measurement and evaluation tools. The document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was no consistency between the astronomy topics in the science textbooks at different grade levels. Between the textbooks belonging to different publications at the same level, no agreement was found in terms of the number of pages on astronomy topics, the number of images they included, the number of scientists included, and measurement and evaluation tools. Suggestions were made regarding the way in which astronomy subjects are included in the textbooks.
