Bir devletin başka devletler tarafından siyasi bir yapı olarak tanınmasında diplomatik münasebetlerin önemi büyüktür. Devletler arasındaki bu ilişkiyi sağlayan unsurlardan biri de elçilerdir. Bu çalışmanın konusu olan I. Alâeddin Keykubad Dönemi, Türkiye Selçuklu Devleti ve Eyyûbîler arasındaki elçilik ilişkileri I. İzzeddin Keykâvus Dönemi’nde gerçekleştirilen Halep Seferi sonrası iki devlet arasında bozulan ilişkileri düzeltmek amacıyla başlamıştır. Selçuklu Sultanı bu amacı doğrultusunda Eyyûbî Devleti ile evlilik yoluyla akrabalık tesis etmek istemiş ve bu isteğini iletmek üzere Eyyûbî Devleti’ne elçi göndermiştir. I. Alâeddin Keykubad Dönemi Türkiye Selçuklu Devleti ve Eyyûbîler arasında bu nedenle başlayan elçilik ilişkileri daha sonra çeşitli nedenlerle devam etmiştir. Bu dönemde iki devlet arasında en fazla Yassıçemen Savaşı öncesinde elçiler gidip gelmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra Eyyûbî melikleri aralarındaki anlaşmazlıkları gidermesi için I. Alâeddin Keykubad’a elçi göndermişlerdir. Yine iki devlet arasında bozulan ilişkileri düzeltmek amacıyla söz konusu devletler birbirlerine elçiler göndermişlerdir. Çalışmada ayrıca elçilere verilen ve elçilerin getirdikleri hediyelere, elçiler onuruna düzenlenen eğlence meclislerine de yer verilmiştir.
The importance of diplomatic relations in the recognition of a state as a political structure by other states is great. One of the elements that provide this relationship between the states is the messengers. The subject of this work, the I. Alâeddin Keykubad Period, the Embassy Relations between the Turkish Selçuklu State and the Eyyubîs began with the aim of repairing the distorted relations between the two states after the I. Izeddin Keykâvus Period. The Sultan of Selçuklu wanted to establish a relativity through marriage in accordance with this purpose and sent a messenger to the State of Selçuklu to communicate this request. I. Alâeddin Keykubad Period Turkey Selçuklu State and Eyyubîs began as a result of the ambassador relations later continued for various reasons. During this period, the two states had the most Yassıçemen war before the messengers came. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent the messengers to address the disputes between them. In order to repair the distorted relations between the two states, the states sent messengers to each other. The work also included the gifts given to the messengers and the gifts brought by the messengers, and the entertainment councils held on behalf of the messengers.
