Abstract:

Although the relationship between literature and social information has existed in literature since the past years, it is known that the study on the teaching of social information based on literature as a subject has increased in recent years. The aim of this study is to create a bibliography by making an analysis of Turkish studies that discussed the relationship between social information lessons and literary products in Turkey. The study is a qualitative research and is designed in the state study model. The master’s thesis on social information and literary relationships, the doctoral thesis, the article, the book/book department and the reporting studies of the USBES (International Social Information Education Symposium) are the examples of the research. The data was obtained through the document review and a total of 193 studies were achieved. The studies achieved within the framework of the research were studied in 7 topics, including the type of publication, the year of publication, the literary type used in the studies, the research method-model/design, the type of sampling, the data collection tools, the data analysis method, and the studies were alphabetically ranked according to the years. According to the results of the analysis using the content analysis method, 75 articles, 68 master theses, 28 statements, 12 books/books sections, 10 doctoral theses have been made and the research has found that at least the subject has been included in the doctoral theses. The most studies were conducted in 2017, the most type of story/history literature was used in the studies, the most studies were conducted with students, the more qualitative research approach was preferred and accordingly the results were found that the more qualitative methods were used in data collection and data analysis.
