Bu nitel araştırmanın amacı öğrencilerin özel öğretmen tercihlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma özel ders almak isteyen bireylerin öğretmen tercihlerini etkileyen faktörleri ortaya koyması açısından önemli görülmektedir. Araştırmada durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. 17 öğretmen, 24 öğrenci ve 4 veliden oluşan çalışma grubundan veriler görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Görüşmelerde araştırmacı tarafından uzman görüşü alınarak hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Çalışmanın her aşamasında bulgular sarmal biçimde kontrol edilerek özgünlük sağlanmaya çalışılmış ve zengin veri kaynağı oluşturulmuştur. Bu veri kaynağının analizi ile ulaşılan temalar mantıksal bir perspektifle bütünlük içinde sunulmuştur. Bulgular özel ders öğretmenlerinin kişisel özellikleri, özel ders öğretmenlerinin mesleki özellikleri ve özel ders öğretmen tercihini etkileyen diğer faktörler başlıkları altında tablolar şeklinde sunulmuştur. Ayrıca özel ders öğretmeni tercihinde, öğretmenin özel ders tecrübesinin olması, bilinir ve güvenilir olması aranan diğer nitelikler olduğu görülmüştür.
The purpose of this qualification research is to determine the special teacher preferences of the students. Research is important for individuals who want to take a special course to reveal the factors that influence the teacher's preferences. The research has been used for the study. The method is determined by the maximum diversity of sample methods for the purpose of the group. 17 teachers, 24 students and 4 guardians have collected data from a working group using the interview technique. Interviews used semi-configured interview forms prepared by the researcher with the expert opinion. The research data is analyzed by the content analysis method. At every stage of the study, the findings were controlled and tried to ensure originality and a rich source of data was created. Themes achieved by the analysis of this data source are presented in integrity with a logical perspective. The findings are presented in the form of tables under the titles of the personal characteristics of the special course teachers, the professional characteristics of the special course teachers and other factors affecting the preference of the special course teachers. According to the findings, it is expected that the special course teachers will employ appropriate strategies, methods and techniques taking into account individual differences, to keep the student active in the classroom, to create learning environments where conversion and evaluation is used effectively, to be guides that encourage, guide, inspire learning in this context. Also in the preference of a special course teacher, it has been shown that the teacher has special course experience, is known and reliable with other qualities that are sought to be.
The aim of this qualitative research is to determine students’ preference for private tutors. The research is important in terms of revealing the factors that affect the preference for teachers. The study uses a case design and has determined the study group using the maximum diversity method for purposive sampling. Data have been collected from the study group, which consists of 17 teachers, 24 students, and four parents. The interviews use a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher with the help of expert opinions. Research data have been analyzed using the method of content analysis. In each stage of the study, the findings have been helically checked to provide originality, creating a rich data source. The themes reached by analyzing this data source have been presented from a logical perspective in the form of tables under the headings of private tutors’ personal characteristics, vocational characteristics of private tutors and other factors affecting the choice of private tutors. The findings have been interpreted and supported with direct quotes. According to the findings, private tutors are expected to provide appropriate strategies, methods, and techniques that take individual differences into account, to keep students active in the course, to create learning environments that use feedback and evaluation effectively, and to guide students in this context. In addition to the teacher having experience in private lessons, other qualifications when choosing a private tutor include the tutor being known and reliable.
