So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to reveal the perceptions of students studying at the Faculty of Education of a public university in Ankara province towards the concept of ethics through metaphors. The research is planned according to the phenomenology research design. The students were asked to complete the sentence "Ethics is like …… because ……" in the questionnaire forms prepared face to face and online. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data and all data were analyzed independently by three researchers. In the event of disagreement between the evaluators, a consensus study was conducted. A total of 282 education faculty students from 17 different departments participated in the study and 249 of the forms were used in the evaluation. The study was carried out with 182 (73.09%) female students and 67 (26.91%) male students. Metaphors used by students are gathered under different conceptual categories in terms of their common features. It has been determined that the students of the Faculty of Education mostly prefer morality, rule, righteousness, society, water, law, conscience and human metaphors regarding the concept of ethics.
