Abstract:

In this study, the relationship between perceived organizational support and organizational trust was examined by depending on teachers' opinions. The sample of the research consisted of 513 teachers working in 35 schools in five districts of Ankara. The 'Perceived Organizational Support Scale' and the 'Organizational Trust Scale' were used in the research. In the analysis of the obtained data, Pearson Multiplication of Momentum Correlation was used to determine the relationships between teachers' perceived organizational support and organizational trust. Multiple Linear Regression Analysis was used to determine whether organizational support predicted organizational trust. According to the results of the research, a positive, moderate relationship was found between perceived organizational support and organizational trust. A positive and significant relationship was found at different levels between the sub-dimensions of perceived organizational support and the sub-dimensions of organizational trust. As a result of multiple linear regression analyzes, it was determined that while administrative support predicted trust in administrators and colleagues, the variable of instructional support did not predict trust in administrators, and moreover, it was not a significant predictor of instructional support. On the other hand, it has been determined that the dimension of trust in stakeholders is a significant predictor of managerial support and instructional support dimensions. The results of the research reveal that the perceived support of the teachers makes them feel safe at school. Another important result is that teachers give more importance to administrative support than instructional support.
