Abstract:

Urinary incontinence is a health problem that affects all individuals physically, mentally, socially and economically. The frequency varies between 7-10%. Members create a serious economic burden on the individual, family, society and health services. It is a critical parameter for the determination of the economic burden of the member, and it is often used by Quality Adjusted Life Years (KAYY). Membership costs cover all the costs used and lost and include direct and indirect costs. Direct costs include the costs of diagnosis, treatment, routine care, and the results, and routine care costs make up a large portion of the costs of routine care. The indirect costs are an invisible face of the economic burden and it is quite difficult to calculate and it is believed to have a greater value than the direct costs. In Turkey, no registration system or research related to the disease and economic burden of the MRI has been found and the data is limited to the diagnosis and treatment costs specified under the Health Application Notice (SUT). In this collection, the current state of urine incontinence is determined by examining the burden and cost of the disease according to the literature. According to the studies carried out, that the Member State creates a serious economic burden on the individual and health system, first-level health services will be a significant force in reducing this cost. In our country, the determination of the economic burden of the EU at national level, the disclosure of direct and indirect costs, the correct and efficient use of resources, and the cost-effective management of incontinence are very important.
