Abstract:

Museums vary greatly in their focus and specialization. There are art museums, history museums, natural history museums, science museums, technology museums, heritage museums, children's museums, and more, each with its special area of interest. This study aimed to examine online comments, that is, netnographic elements, about children's museum visits with content analysis, a qualitative research method. In this study, the children's museum experiences of visitors are accessed through their sharing. In this context, first of all, children's museums in Turkey were identified. Comments on TripAdvisor were converted into a data set and subjected to content analysis in the Nvivo. While conducting content analysis, main themes, sub-themes, and codes were created and examined. Children's museum visitor comments were collected under 7 main themes and 22 sub-themes. Visitors stated that both they and their children had a good time during their visits. Prices were generally affordable, and that the museums were worth the price. It has been observed that visitors recommend children's museums to potential visitors. The physical spaces, workshops, and activities that children's museums create for children are not mentioned.
