Vitamin B12’s main function is to support DNA synthesis required for cell division or proliferation in combination with folic acid. Pancytopenia can be seen in vitamin B12 deficiency. Often preferred parenteral treatment to oral treatment in vitamin B12 deficiency, especially of condition associated with thrombocytopenia oral alternatives are considered. Oral therapy is known fascilitating the adherence treatment in pediatric patients. In this article, 16-year-old girl is presented, followed by our clinic wih the diagnose of vitamin B12 and folic acid deficiency and then followed pansitopenic, treated by oral administration of intramuscular cobalamin preperates and oral folic acid. However, studies are needed with larger sample, to show the effectiveness of each treatment compared to each other.
