Mnemonic Memory Techniques Improves Writing Skills In Malay Language

Abstract:

This research aims to analyze mnemonic memory technique in improving the essay writing skills in Malay Language among the Form 1 students of SekolahMenengahPanchor, Negeri Sembilan. 20 samples were involved in this research. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed based on the frequency and percentage of answers given. This research analyzed the students� memory techniques based on Gagne Learning Theory and the Information Processing Theory in learning Malay Language essay writing. The finding of research shows that the respondents agreed mnemonic technique helped in improving the memory skills of students, as well as improving the Malay Language essay writing skills. In conclusion, mnemonic memory technique is able to improve the writing skills in Malay Language learning.
