Bu araştırmanın amacı özel eğitim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin benlik saygısı ve genel öz-yeterlik düzeylerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma örneklemini Denizli ili merkez ile Pamukkale ve Merkezefendi ilçelerinde özel eğitim okullarında görev yapan 26-59 yaş aralığındaki (41,4467 ± 5,978) 150 gönüllü öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak iki ölçek kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların benlik saygısı Türkçe geçerlilik güvenilirliği belirlenmiş olan “Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği” ve özyeterlikleri Türkçe geçerlilik güvenilirliği belirlenmiş olan “Genel Öz Yeterlilik Ölçeği” ile değerlendirilmiştir. Mesleki kıdem yılı, mesleki branşı açısından katılımcıların benlik saygısı puanları ile genel öz-yeterlik puanları arasındaki fark olup olmadığı Kruskal-Wallis testiyle belirlenmiştir. Özel eğitim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin benlik saygısı ve genel özyeterlik puanlarının cinsiyete göre farklılık gösterip, göstermediği t-testi kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin cinsiyete göre benlik saygısı puanları ile genel özyeterlik puanları arasında anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Öğretmenlerin benlik saygısı puanları ile genel özyeterlik puanları yaşa ve kıdem yılına göre anlamlı fark göstermemiştir (p>0.05). Özel eğitim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin mesleki branşa göre benlik saygısı puanlarında anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Ancak, genel özyeterlik puanları branşlara göre farklılık göstermiştir (p<0.05). Sınıf öğretmenlerinin genel özyeterlik puanları, meslek branş öğretmenleri ve özel eğitim öğretmenlerine göre daha yüksek çıkmıştır. Sonuç olarak cinsiyet, yaş, kıdem yılı özel eğitim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin benlik saygısı ve genel özyeterlik durumlarında fark yaratmamıştır. The purpose of this research is to study the self-respect and general levels of self-capacity of teachers working in private educational schools. The research sample was made by 150 volunteer teachers in the age range of 26-59 years (41,4467 ± 5,978) working in private educational schools in the districts of Pamukkale and Centralfendi. Two scales were used as a data collection tool in the study. The participant’s self-esteem was assessed by the “Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale” which has been determined by the “General Self-esteem Scale” which has been determined by the “Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale” which has been determined by the “General Self-esteem Scale” which has been determined by the “Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale” which has been determined by the “General Self-esteem Scale”. The professional subsequent year is determined by the Kruskal-Wallis test whether there is a difference between the participants’ self-respect points and the overall self-sufficiency points in terms of the professional branch. The self-respect of teachers who work in private educational schools and the overall self-sufficiency scores are calculated by using the t-test that they do not show. There was no significant difference between the teacher’s gender self-esteem scores and the general self-esteem scores (p>0.05). Teachers' self-respect scores and overall self-sufficiency scores have not shown any significant difference in relation to the senior year (p>0.05). There was no significant difference in the self-respect scores of teachers working in private educational schools (p>0.05) according to the professional branch. However, the overall self-sufficiency points differed according to branches (p<0.05). The overall self-sufficiency scores of classmates have increased compared to professional branch teachers and private education teachers. As a result; gender, age, old age did not make a difference in the status of self-respect and general self-sufficiency of teachers who work in private educational schools.
