Abstract:

Poverty is a global phenomenon that concerns both advanced countries and developing and least developed countries. Nowadays, poverty began to be examined in connection with more unemployment, discrimination, social exclusion such as cases. When the facts are examined, women are more likely to be affected by poverty. In this connection, various solutions to combat women's poverty is produced in the world. One of them is "the micro-credit application". In order to provide livelihood for poor women with micro credit is helped by being given an initial capital when they begin economic activity. The goal is an increase poor women's income and to reduce the unemployment rate. Micro-credit is practiced in the world for 40 years. Turkey, micro-credit application has started to be implemented in the early 2000s. This study examines the social impact of poverty on women caused by micro-credit application in Turkey
