The Social Development Index (SGE), which is set at the World Economic Forum, is an index aimed at creating a systematic basis for strategies that will lead to internal growth that require both economic and social development. This study aimed at applying the Canonic Correlation Analysis for 138 countries to identify the relationships between the 2016 SGE’s “Food and Basic Medical Care”, “Water and Cleaning”, “Residence” and “Personal Safety” sub-index, which includes four variables, and the “Personal Rights”, “Personal Freedoms and Right to Choice”, “Tolerance and Participation” and “Higher Education Access” sub-index (FRS). The first canonic correlation ratio is calculated at 0.880 and indicates the existence of a high relationship between TIH and FRS variable sets. According to standardized canonical ratio, the biggest contribution to the TIH variable set comes from the 'invasion' variable. The most effective variable in the FRS group has been found to be 'access to higher education'. When examined the canonical cross-loads, the greatest contributions to the first canonical variable pair were provided by the variables of 'injury' and 'higher education access'. When we look at the canonic common load ratio taking into account all interpretable functions, we can say that the 'personal rights' and 'tolerance and participation' variables among all variables are not beneficial to the model. On the other hand, the determination index for the TIH group is 0.615, while the FRS group has a lower determination index by 0.475 .
