Bu çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin organ nakli ve bağışı konusundaki düşüncelerini incelemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmada, örneklem seçme yoluna gidilmeyip, Hemşirelik Yüksekokulu ve Erzurum Sağlık Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören, araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 460 öğrenci araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Veri toplamada; Sarıtaş ve Köşgeroğlu tarafından hazırlanan “Öğrencilerin Organ Nakli ve Bağışına Yönelik Algıları Formu” doğrultusunda oluşturulan form kullanılmıştır. Veriler yüzdelik hesaplamayla değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin %75.7’sinin organ nakli ve bağışı konusunda yeterince bilgiye sahip olmadığı ve sadece %1.7’ sinin organlarını bağışladığı saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin % 28.7’si sağlıklı iken organ bağışı yapmayı düşündüğünü, %76.1’i organ bağışı konusunda ailesinin olumlu tutumunun organ bağışı kararını çabuklaştıracağını, %90.2’si organ nakli ve bağışı konusunda din adamlarının bilgi verip öncülük etmesi gerektiğini ve %57’si de bağışlayacağı organının suiistimal edilmesinden endişe duyduğunu ifade etmişlerdir. Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin lisans eğitiminde organ bağışı konusunda yeterince bilgilendirilmedikleri, organlarını bağışlamayı düşünen öğrenci oranının düşük olduğu ve öğrencilerin organ bekleyen hastalara verici bulma konusunda aktif rol alamadıkları saptanmıştır.
This study was conducted to identify the thoughts of nursing students about organ transplantation and donation. In the study, 460 students who did not go to the path of sample selection and studied at the Nursing High School and Erzurum Health High School, who agreed to participate in the research, were taken into the research scope. In the data collection, the form was used in accordance with the "Form of perceptions of organ transfusion and donation of students" prepared by Sarıtaş and Köşgeroğlu. The data is estimated by percentage calculation. The study found that 75.7 percent of students donated organs and donated organs and that only 1.7 percent donated organs. 28.7 percent of students think of organ donation while they are healthy, while 76. One said that the positive attitude of his family to donate organs would speed up the decision to donate organs, 90.2 percent said that religious men should inform and lead about organs transplant and donation, and 57 percent said that they were concerned about the organs they would donate would be overwhelmed. Nursing students have not been sufficiently informed about organ donation in their bachelor's education, the student's rate of thinking of donating their organs is low and the students do not have an active role in finding organs waiting for patients.
