Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, “TÜİK 2003 Bütçe Anketi” verileri ile “Working-Leser” talep modeli tahmin edilmiştir. Modelde kullanılan sosyo-demografik değişkenlerden eğitim, yaş kompozisyonu, yerleşim yeri ve cinsiyeti daha önce Türkiye’de yapılan çalışmalarda kullanılan değişkenlerden farklıdır. Sonuçlar bütçe paylarının açıklayıcı değişkenlere karşı duyarlı olduğunu göstermiştir. Özellikle gıda alt grupları olmak üzere gelir esneklikleri kır ve kent yerleşim yerleri arasında anlamlı farklılık sergilemektedir. Gıda, giyim, konut, mobilya, sağlık, ulaşım, haberleşme, kültür, eğitim, lokanta ve diğer harcama gruplarının harcama esneklikleri sırasıyla 0.83, 1.07, 1.05, 1.12, 1.10, 1.33, 1.00, 1.34, 1.44, 1.29 ve 1.14’dür. Et hariç gıda alt grupları esneklikleri 0.32 ile 0.71 arasında değişim sergilemektedir

Abstract:

This study estimates the “Working-Leser” demand model with “TUIK2003 budget survey”. Socio-demographic as an explanatory variables include education, age composition, location and gender which are different from the variables used in previous studies in Turkey. The results indicate that budget shares are very responsive to explanatory variables. Elasticities, particularly food sub-groups, exhibit significant differences between urban and rural Turkey. Expenditure elasticity for food, clothing, housing, furniture, health, transportation, communication, culture, education, restaurant and other group are 0.83, 1.07, 1.05, 1.12, 1.10, 1.33, 1.00, 1.34, 1.44, 1.29 and 1.14 respectively.
