Çinli Müslümanlardan büyük iltifat gören heyet Rusya üzerinden İstanbul’a geri gelmiştir. Heyetten Batılılar istedikleri faydayı elde edememişlerse de Sultan Abdülhamid, hilafetin gücünü Uzakdoğu’da sergileme fırsatını yakalamıştır.
At the end of the 19th century, the invasion struggle of the Western great states was underway over China. Increasing poverty, natural disasters, untouchable foreign pressure have led to the strength of the boxers in North China. Since the activities of Christian missionaries were provoked by the Boxers, in 1899 the Boxers were attacked against Western missionaries and Chinese Christians. Attacks in Beijing burned churches and houses of foreigners, and suspicious Chinese Christians were killed. The German ambassador was also killed. Beijing was captured on August 14 with the sending of the Western allies' aid forces to the Far East. Because of the boxer rebellion, German Emperor Wilhelm asked Sultan Abdülhamid to use his influence on Chinese Muslims to send a counseling commission to China. However, the advisory delegation in President Enver Pasha could only reach China after the opposition was suppressed. The delegation, which received great praise from Chinese Muslims, returned to Istanbul via Russia. Although the Westers did not get the benefit they wanted from the committee, Sultan Abdülhamid took the opportunity to show the power of the hilafeti in the Far East.
