The aim of this research was to determine of the perception of patients’ rights of, medical staff who worked in Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases and Chest Surgery Education and Research Hospital. The data was collected by face to face interview method with Perception of Patients’ Rights Scale questionnaire form which was containing 7 questions about employee descriptive features. The great majority of health workers were 30-39 years old (46.6%), women (58.4%), nurses (35.3%), secondary school graduated (24%). The most of research participants declared to work less than 10 years Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases and Chest Surgery Education and Research Hospital (63.3%) and, in their own profession (45.2%), and also did not take education related to patients’ rights (53.4%)duration of the last year. In general, the health providers’ score averages of perception about patients’ right were found to be 3.42 ± 0.27 by 5 point. The health workers who were included in this reasearch did not have any statisticall y significant differences with gender, occupation, age, education, and vocational study period in the institution, to receive education for general perception about patients’ rights. According to our research, to provide quality health services for patients, the health workers need to be educated to increase the perception level of patient’s rights with regular trainings
