Bu çalışmanın amacı, kubaşık öğrenme ve anlatım yöntemi kullanılarak ortaokulda işlenen beden eğitimi derslerinin öğrenciler üzerindeki empatik eğiliminin etkisini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla, araştırmaya Bolu ilinde bulunan bir ortaokulun 6. sınıfında toplam 56 öğrenci (deney grubunda 29, kontrol grubunda 27) katılmıştır. Çalışmanın başında ve sonunda deney ve kontrol gruplarındaki öğrencilerin empatik eğilimlerini ölçmek için Dökmen (1988) tarafından geliştirilen “Empatik Eğilim Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının öntest puanları karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel bir farkın olmadığı (p > 0.05), sontest puanları karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel bir farkın olduğu (p < 0.001) tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan istatistiksel değerlendirmede deney grubunun grup içerisinde pozitif yönde istatistiksel bir farka rastlanırken (p < 0.05), kontrol grubunun grup içerisinde negatif yönde istatistiksel bir farka rastlanmıştır (p < 0.001). Bu bulgular sonucunda, kubaşık yöntemle işlenen beden eğitimi derslerinin öğrencilerin empatik eğilimlerini olumlu yönde geliştirdiği, anlatım yöntemiyle işlenen beden eğitimi derslerinin öğrencilerin empatik eğilimlerine etkisi olmadığı söylenebilir.
In order to measure the emphatic tendency of the students at the begining of the test who were in the control and experiment groups by using the ‘Emphatic Tendency Scale’ developed by Dökmen (1996). When the results of the pre-tests of control and experiment groups were compared, we encountered that there is no statistical difference (p>0.05), for the results of the final tests we encounted that there is a statistical difference (p<0.001). After this statistical evaluation, a statistical difference towards positive direction was detected (p<0.05), while a statistical difference towards negative difference was detected(p<0.001). As a result of these findings, it can be said that PE lessons taught with cooperative method improved student’s emphatic development in a positive way, while PE lessons taught with lecture method affected student’s emphatic development in a negative way.
