The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between physical activity levels and quality of life of young high school students from a public school in the federal school system. The sample consisted of 112 high school students (63 female and 49 male), aged 15 to 18 years (mean ± SD: 16.56 ± 0.89). Participants answered a questionnaire about the level of physical activity (Questionnaire of habitual physical activities) and quality of life (WHOQOL-BREF). More than 40% of the female sample and more than 50% of the male sample were classified as active or continually active. There were no significant differences between genders for overall quality of life and for physical, psychological, and environmental domains. However, in the social relations domain, these differences were observed, and women had a higher mean value than men. It was concluded that in the study there was a relationship between the level of physical activity and quality of life of the students evaluated.
